Educational Technology and the SAMR Model in Donna ISD |
Technology infusion goes far beyond putting devices in students' and educators' hands; rather, it is about the level of usage of the device and connecting it technology's transformative possibilities. After an extensive study of a state-wide technology initiative, researcher Ruben Puentadura develoed the SAMR model. This presentation will proved the overview of the model, easy, immediately usable metaphors and take aways to share with colleagueus, and a results of a recent evaluation of Donna ISD where we are as a district in our technology. Understanding the SMAR model and where you want to go NEXT with your educational technology is a great first step in your strategic planning for professional development and methodical technology deployment. This presentation is appropriate for all educators seeking actionable data to affect change.
